If you want to experience China here in Manila Philippines, then you must take our Chinatown tour which will give you an opportunity to visit Binondo -another historical place in Manila that is worth visiting as it is said to be "the oldest and one of the best China towns in the world" offering historical and cultural Chinese attractions which has connections to Philippine history.
Here you will see a lot of Chinese and Filipino-Chinese(Tsinoys), street signs with Chinese scripts, Chinese-inspired architecture, dragons decor giving you a total feeling of being in China.
Chinese Goodwill Arch
Our Chinatown Manila Tour will begin by seeing the notable welcoming arch of Chinatown - this Chinese Goodwill Arch which represents the Filipino and Chinese friendship.
Binondo Church
After seeing the famous arch, we will proceed to Binondo Church (Minor Basilica of San Lorenzo Ruiz) which is one of the oldest and notable churches in the Philippines built to be the worship place of Catholic Chinese during Spanish times; where the Filipino-Chinese San Lorenzo Ruiz (Philippines’ first saint) served as an altar boy. Here, you will see the beautiful interior of the church including its 16th century octagonal bell tower.
To get a beautiful full shot of the said church, we will go to Plaza Lorenzo Ruiz which is just in front of Binondo church and after that, you can buy Chinese Delicacies at Eng Bee Tin Store (famous for delicious hopia and tikoy) before proceeding to our next stop.
Chinese Cemetery
Our next stop is the Chinese Cemetery - an ancient cemetery in Manila that existed since World War II thus considered as Manila’s second oldest cemetery. Here, you will see awesome Chinese tombs which are all elegant and unique in design.
Once we finish our tour here, you can decide to have your lunch at Chinatown to taste authentic Chinese food.
Bahay Tsinoy
Our tour will end at Bahay Tsinoy - an awesome museum in Intramuros which unveils through tableus, documents, and media presentation the history and contribution of Chinese in the Philippines.Here, you will learn trivia about the Chinese, Filipinos and Filipino-Chinese (Tsinoys).Not to mention intriguing facts about Rizal and other Philippine heroes.
