Come with us as we take a fascinating tour of Manila, the old and new. This is one of our most popular city tour packages and offers tourist and opportunity to learn about the rich culture of the Philippines most populated city.

Our Manila tour will begin with a short drive through “Makati City” the financial district of the Philippines. It’s here where you can see towering skyscrapers that house some of the Philippines most notable companies.

Nielson’s Tower:

(Please be informed that the inside of Nielsons Tower is now closed, viewing from the outside only.)

Our first stop on the tour is “Nielson’s Tower” which is located along Ayala Avenue, and was once the first principle airport of Manila, from 1937 to 1947. Nielson's Tower is a two story building that today sits between “Ayala Avenue” and “Paseo de Roxas Boulevard”, once used as the airports principal runways.

Nielson's tower was designed to look like and airplane from above, with the center part of the building being the control tower, while the left side was used as the guest waiting area and the right side was for baggage claim.

Nielson's Tower has since been completely renovated and is now home to the “Filipina's Heritage Library” and the Nielson Tower Club Restaurant”.

Forbes Park:

Our second stop will be the American Cemetery and Memorial and to get there we will drive through what is “Forbes Park” which is locally referred to as “Millionaire’s Row”. As we drive through this historic part of Manila you will see beautiful tree lined streets with homes belonging to some of the Philippines most wealthy and elite residents.

American Cemetery and Memorial:

Once we come through Forbes Park, we will arrive at the “American Cemetery and Memorial, and it is said to be the largest and most beautiful outside the continental United States of America. Here you can walk around the grounds, read the names written on the walls of the many brave soldiers who lost their lives here during World War II.

This part of the Manila Tour is very educational, there is much to read here and, be sure to bring your camera.

“Walled City” of Intramuros:

Our third stop of the Manila tour will be at “Intramuros” where we will enter the “Walled City” passing through “Rizal Park” which was named after Jose Protacio Mercado Rizal a national hero of the Philippines. Here you will visit museums like “Casa Manila” the “San Agustin Church”, and see the historic walls and walk the grounds of an ancient city built by the Spanish hundreds of years ago.

San Agustin Church:

This is one of the largest and most fascinating churches in Manila, with two full floors that are dedicated to a well organized museum. Here you will learn about the history of this Manila church and the priest who managed it for hundreds of years. Tours are available daily except for Monday, when most tours for Manila are closed.

Casa Manila:

This is one of the oldest homes in Manila, dating back hundreds of years. The Casa Manila seen today is a true-to-life reproduction, as the original was badly damage by bombs being dropped by both American and British planes during World War II. Casa Manila represents life for an upper class Filipino family of wealth and education. The Casa Manila was fully restored under the supervision of Imelda Marcos former fist lady of the Philippines.

Luneta Park, Chinese Gardens, Jose Rizal Shrine:

The Luneta Park is one of the most historic parks in Manila, here you can visit the shrine dedicated to Jose Rizal, the Philippines national hero, who dedicated himself to fight for the rights of the Filipino people during the Spanish rule.

Manila Cathedral:

Our fourth stop on the Manila tour will be at the "Manila Cathedral" a beautiful Roman Catholic church situated near "Fort Santiago". The Manila Cathedral was established in 1571 by the Spanish. As we tour the inside of the cathedral you will have the opportunity to see ancient religious relics, statues, sculptures. For example as seen in the photo below, the beautiful ornate front doors to the Manila Cathedral offer hand carved biblical scenes.

Fort Santiago:

Our tour of historic Manila will end at “Fort Santiago” the Spanish fortress located at the entrance of the “Pasig River”. It is here where the Philippines national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal spent his final days writing his famous “My Last Farewell” before being executed by Filipino soldiers.
